Do you offer dog grooming at Pampered Pooch Playground?
We do not have a full-time groomer on staff. However, we offer baths, nail trims, nail grinds, and brush-outs for current daycare and boarding guests. Pampered Pooch is pleased to offer select basic grooming services at this time.
How quickly do dog daycare and boarding spots fill up?
It depends on the time of the year. We require reservations for dog daycare and boarding to ensure safety and security and limit the number of dogs in our care. Daycare often fills up two to four days in advance. And around major holidays, our dog hotel often fills up more than a month in advance. We encourage you to reach out to us as early as possible to secure a spot for your canine companion.
Safe and comfortable accommodations warning - During busy times, small guests may be in crate.

My dog hasn’t been to your facility yet. Is there anything I need to know?
All dogs must be at least 14 weeks old, and we require them to be spayed or neutered by seven months of age. Each new dog is required to complete a two-hour evaluation before joining the fun. These evaluations must be completed at least seven full days before the first full day of dog care. We encourage you to plan even further in advance as our evaluations fill up quickly. Please contact us to schedule the evaluation, and be sure to plan well in advance around major holidays.

How do you keep everything clean?
We take great pride in keeping our facility clean and sanitary. We go to great lengths to maintain cleanliness that exceeds industry standards. All indoor and outdoor play areas, toys, and play equipment are sanitized and deep cleaned nightly. We replace water dishes five to six times each day. Our team only uses pet-safe cleaning products to ensure the safety of our guests.
What should I bring when boarding my dog?
- Food (We don’t accept raw diets.)
- Medications in their original bottles with instructions
- Bones and toys (Because they pose a choking hazard)
- Bowls (We have plenty, and they are cleaned after each meal)
- Large beds
What is your cancellation policy?
All dog daycare reservations must be canceled by 4 PM the day before the reservation. If a reservation is not canceled by 4 PM, the full price of daycare will be charged, or a day will be subtracted from the package.
All boarding reservations must be canceled by 4 PM the day before the scheduled stay, or the price of one night will be charged to the card on file.

My dog has never been boarded before. Do you have any tips?
The more familiar your dog is with our facility, the better they will do. We recommend bringing them to dog daycare a few times so they can get to know the staff and learn how we run things. The dogs who do best in the dog hotel are usually the ones who attend daycare regularly.
In addition, you can bring a blanket from home, some treats, or other belongings that will remind your dog of home. Feel free to call, text, or email to check in on your canine companion during their stay.

What time should I drop my dog off for their hotel stay?
We ask that all dogs be checked in by noon, but earlier is better. They will sleep much better in a new environment if they have spent the day playing and getting to know everyone. If you drop your dog off after noon, a $15 charge will be added to their stay.
Do dogs get sick?
Sending your dog to daycare is much like sending a child to school. Germs and viruses can and do spread, and it’s not uncommon for dogs to get sick from time to time. We do everything possible to maintain a clean and healthy environment for your dog. We require the Bordetella shot, which helps protect your dog from kennel cough. Like the human flu shot, though, it is only about 70% effective.
If we notice a sick dog, we immediately remove them from the play area and call their owner to come pick them up. If your dog is sick, please keep them home to protect the other dogs in our care. Should kennel cough or other viruses spread in our facility, we notify all customers by email.

Do the dogs fight?
Your dog’s safety is always our top priority. Just like when a child goes to school, though, things can happen. Our staff has been trained on how to manage a pack of dogs safely. We also have much higher staff-to-dog ratios than other dog daycares in the area. We train our staff to prevent conflicts rather than react to fights, and many other daycares have modeled their policies after our pack management style. We are also very selective about the dogs we allow into our daycare. Dogs that show aggression at any time are not allowed. Should anything ever happen, we will inform the owner immediately.
How do I book my pet's appointment?
There are two ways to request an appointment. You can request online or by using our new app, Yourgi! Yourgi is available to download for free today in the App Store and Google Play.
